A note from the founder

I'm not a doctor, nor am I a nutritionist. I'm a loving daughter who believes in the healing properties of whole foods and a well-balanced diet. In May 2013 my father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is now undergoing a rigorous course of chemotherapy. It was, as cancer always is, unexpected and terrifying. My parents had retired the year before and were living the dream - sailing through the beautiful Sea of Cortes when my father became sick. A post he wrote on their blog aptly titled "How Quickly the Dream Can Change" tells the story far better than I can.

I know far too many people who have had their life touched by cancer and the feeling of powerlessness that can accompany the diagnosis. When my father was diagnosed I choose to fight the sense of helplessness by turning to healthy food. Hours in the kitchen gave birth to a recipe blog and my dad’s request for snacks lead to elaborate boxes of tasty treats, our featured product.

I want to empower others to support their loved-ones journey to wellness. Gifts of healthy snacks and whole foods recipes helped my father; I know they will support others as well.

Eat well, be well.
