Jim Baumann is an education veteran (and a dad) who released a new book in September to help parents learn how to support their children in school and become more engaged in their education. He's particularly interesting because he has been on both sides -- for more than 30 years, Jim dedicated his career to education. He has served on local and state boards of education in Illinois, worked as a teacher and led an education-related nonprofit organization. He's also a father of three, and parenting has always been the biggest, and most important, job of his life.
