Marissa is the Bilingual Education and Prevention specialist for Laura's House (www.laurashouse.org), a nonprofit organization based in Orange County, Calif. that serves individuals and families who are impacted by domestic violence. In her role at Laura’s House, Marissa speaks at local high schools, community colleges and middle schools, educating teens, tweens and young adults on dating abuse and healthy relationships through the Healthy Emotions and Attitudes in Relationships for Teens, or H.E.A.R.T. program.
