About Me

Get the Funk Out!
Hi, I’m Janeane, a radio host and producer with KUCI 88.9 FM. Get the Funk Out! began in 2011 after the sudden loss of my childhood friend. In the midst of grief, I created the show as a way to move through the funk—and to open a space for real stories, real voices, and real connection. What started as a personal response to loss has grown into an eclectic, inspiring talk show featuring conversations about resilience, creativity, mental health, and the experiences that connect us all.
